Michael Frei

Head of Clients and Partner 

Michael has been with OLZ since 2007 and is responsible for the Clients division. The client base ranges from private clients and cooperation partners (banks, independent wealth managers) to institutional investors. He is responsible for client acquisition, advisory, service, and business development.

He graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a degree in economics, specializing in financial and capital markets, and is a CFA® Charterholder. Michael participated in SYMMYS' Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management Bootcamp in New York.

He gained practical experience at the Boston Consulting Group as a management consultant in the industrial and financial sectors, then at Complementa as a consultant to pension funds in the area of investment strategy and its implementation, and was head of the Equity Competence Center (manager selection).

Cédric Kohler

Senior Advisor

Cédric Kohler founded Seneko in 2023 after more than a decade at Fundana, a Swiss-based hedge fund boutique with a 30-year track record of success. There, he led business development and served on the investment committee. 

Prior to that, he was a managing director at Lombard Odier, where he led the hedge fund business during the global financial crisis. At Citadel Investment Group, he co-led the Portfolio Construction Group in Chicago and created a risk management framework that remains in place today. He was also Managing Director at Merrill Lynch in New York as Global Head of the Prime Brokerage Risk Group. He began his career at UBS, where he held various positions in trading and risk management in Zurich, London, and New York.
