We don't talk about money. We do.

One festival, three age categories, one message

Once a year since 1992, the Fumetto Festival has transformed the city of Lucerne into the comic capital of Europe. At its heart is the annual international competition. This year's edition was a record: from children to senior citizens, comics about money, value, inequality, heritage and inner or outer wealth were created. 45 entries were nominated, ten of which were awarded prizes.

ZWEI Wealth was not only active as a sponsor, but was also part of the jury through partner Nadeschda Hoidn Wiede. Together with artists and curators, she assessed the works from the perspective of the art and finance world. An enriching experience, as she says in the interview:

"Some of the works had a wildness that I hadn't expected. Others were quiet - but they had a lasting effect."

When the world of finance meets the art of drawing

ZWEI Wealth sees art not just as an investment, but as a perspective. After all, anyone who deals with money should also always deal with values. For this reason, ZWEI Wealth became involved as a partner at Fumetto, where questions were asked that shed light in a refreshing way on a topic that is otherwise often taboo: money. How can wealth be portrayed at all? What does being rich mean in different realities of life?

The exchange with the jury, the joint reflection on narratives and visual language, all of this fitted in well with the work we do every day at the Wealth Office: helping people to deal more consciously with their wealth.

An evening that connects

The highlight was the award ceremony at the Kleintheater in Lucerne, which was attended by prizewinners from Switzerland, Europe and even India. A full stage, an enthusiastic audience, live drawings and moving speeches of thanks.
And in the middle of it all: the voice of ZWEI Wealth.

"More such encounters of diverse perspectives are needed - a great group and exciting combination of two worlds."

Lea Willimann, Artistic Director Fumetto

Art meets capital - and creates awareness

Our involvement in Fumetto was no ordinary sponsorship, it was a dialog. With the art scene. With a young, creative audience. With social issues surrounding topics such as property, justice and the future. We believe that anyone who wants to accompany wealth responsibly must open up such spaces for dialog - and also allow themselves to be asked questions.
